Wendell Lamar Hargrove is the founder and creative/artistic director of the ACT Ensemble and production company. Wendell, a Chicago native, born March 9, 1970, is known for his charasmatic content and innate passion for creating, writing, and producting.
Wendell's creativity and passion for writing began when he was just a sixth grader enrolled at the newly designated Sol R. Crown Magnet Fine Arts Academy, his GOD given passion for drama was birthed as he was mentored and affirmed by well-known drama professor, (The Late) Charles F. Jones.
Decades later, Wendell is known for his phenomenal writings and exceptional directing ability for sold out performances with his hit plays such as, "Three Days til Heaven," "The Will Reading," "Evangelist," and his most popular piece, "Everything I Count it Gain."
In November of 2022, GOD confirmed to Wendell that his time has come, and in January 2023, The ACT Ensemble was born with a handful of GOD's ordained, talented members. Wendell's vision is, "Bringing and imaginable essence to life," while spreading inspirational messages of GOD's love and grace throughout the world.
